Happy New Year Everyone!
It's January 3rd, we'll all back happier and healthier. The kids are back to school. The holiday decorations are (mostly) put away. The weather's getting colder, but at least the days are getting longer.
We're back to working through the documentation for the upcoming BIOQUANT OSTEO 12.1 release. If you saw the technology preview at the 2011 ASBMR meeting, then you've gotten a peek at the upcoming "Referent Data Tool" that measures TV, BV, and BS all at the same time!
Some of the other big features you can look forward to are: - Simultaneous measurement of TV, BV, and BS with automatic repair of processing artifacts in the bone.
- Export digital scans at full resolution complete with all the measurement tracings.
- BIOQUANT SCAN now supports automated scanning of well plates.
We'll keep you posted as we get closer!
Best, Nathanael

The BIOQUANT booth will have a searchable database of posters at ASBMR that used BIOQUANT software. But, often people don't specifically mention BIOQUANT in the searchable abstract, so the only way we know for sure is if you let us know.
Each day, we'll display upcoming posters at the BIOQUANT booth. That should make it easier for people to discover your poster. You'd be surprised the number of times we get asked to help find a poster, and now we'll be ready! |

After more than a year in development, we're glad to announce the general availability of version 11.2 of BIOQUANT OSTEO and BIOQUANT LIFE SCIENCE. This version marks the most substantial upgrade to BIOQUANT in the last 10 years. It delivers three major upgrades:
- 4X Faster
The Image window size has quadrupled, allowing you to analyze 4X as much tissue in one pass. This also
- 40X Easier
The desktop has been radically simplified. The multitude of little boxes that used to migrate almost randomly around the desktop are gone. They are replaced with simple, sequential workflow of tools.
- 400X Smarter
The software comes with a built-in tutorial notebook that teaches you how to collect specific types of data. We're constantly adding to the library of methods in the notebook so that as new procedures are developed, they can be delivered straight to your lab complete with sample images, sample report templates, and step by step instructions.

The new tool ribbon, combined with integrated guides, means there's less to learn and better tools to learn it. The tool ribbon shows you the tools you need in the order you need them. Just start at the left and go to the right. Rinse and repeat. If you're new to BIOQUANT or just need a helpful reminder, the first tool on the tool ribbon is the Guide. It shows you step by step instructions for specific protocols in BIOQUANT. You can use the library of guides that comes with the software, and you can write your own. |
