Open Tutorial Data Set on Welcome Screen
OSTEO 2017 makes it easy for students to get start with learning BIOQUANT. The welcome screen that appears when starting BIOQUANT has a new option: Open a Tutorial Set. Tutorial sets provide training in specific procedures using sample images, detailed step by step guides, and data sets with pre-assigned settings. The are a great place to get started

Collect Data Faster with Referent Data Measurement Type
The new Referent Data type collects referent data in one quick step. The drop lists make it simple to tell which data are collected and which arrays hold each value.

Pan Box Snaps to the Sampling Area
The pan box (shown in blue) now snaps to the region of interest (shown in green). This means that clicking only the Coarse Move Pan Box button, you can move sequentially through the roi at high magnification. It also means its even easier to automate measurement with batch scripts!

A scan area can now be defined by marking the edges of a scan area instead of marking the center. For very large sections, it can be difficult to find the center. Scanning multiple slides simultaneously still requires setting the scan area with the center.
