Onsite Installation & Training
Onsite support from BIOQUANT greatly simplifies the installation of support hardware such as the Nikon microscope, ASI motorized stage, CoolLED illumination system, and Jenoptik camera.
If your purchase order includes onsite installation, please complete this form to describe your goals and to propose possible installation dates.
Suggested Agenda
The total installation and training is around 6 hours.
Installation: 3 - 4 hours
Installation includes unboxing, assembly, configuration, and initial hardware training.
First 1–2 hours:
General presence from the lab team is not required. This phase involves one-time assembly steps that will not need to be repeated. A lab manager or PI is welcome to observe if desired.Calibration (5–10 minutes):
The lab manager should plan to observe this step so they can repeat the calibration if needed in the future.
Training on BIOQUANT SCAN: 1 HOUR
Training on the optical system and SCAN module typically requires about one hour and can be adapted to the lab’s experience level.
Topics include:
Brightfield imaging
Linear polarization imaging
Darkfield imaging
Multi-band fluorescence imaging
Multi-band fluorescence is usually the most conceptually engaging portion. We will review how to optimize fluorescence by adjusting excitation intensities and camera parameters for individual labels.
TRAINING ON BIOQUANT MEasurement: 1 Hour
Training on BIOQUANT Measurement can be conducted onsite, but many labs prefer a more detailed follow-up session via Zoom.
During the onsite visit we can provide an overview tailored to your workflow; timing depends on the hardware installation schedule.
Handy Histology
If the lab has different kinds of histology some sections with brightfield staining and others with fluorescent labels, that’ll make the training more relevant. It is also good to have list of data you want collected on each slide.
