BIOQUANT SCAN 2024: Version 24.5

BIOQUANT SCAN 2023 v24.5.6 for Windows 10/11 was released on May 31st, 2024. If your system has a license for BIOQUANT SCAN 2023 Add-on and was covered by an active Technical Services Plan on May 31st, 2024 or later, your lab can receive this upgrade free of charge.

Stand Alone Application

BIOQUANT SCAN 2024 is a separate application from BIOQUANT OSTEO and BIOQUANT LIFE SCIENCE. Labs with an Add-on license for BIOQUANT SCAN 2023 can install BIOQUANT SCAN 2024 on their current BIOQUANT workstation and then run the appropriate application for the current task: imaging or analysis.

Simplified AND FAMILIAR User Interface

The user interface of BIOQUANT SCAN 2024 has been simplified make it easier to use and faster to learn. It uses the same sequential tool ribbon design as other BIOQUANT products making in easy to learn for those already familiar with BIOQUANT SCAN 2023.

Simplified Scan Area Definition

The process of defining scan areas is significantly faster and simpler. Just click the draw button and BIOQUANT SCAN will let you draw out a scan area. Scan areas can be in a single field of view at low power or span multiple fields of view for very large samples.

Same Annotation and Conversion Features

Add scale bars and arrows for annotation. Save regions of scans as BIF or TIF images. Batch convert scans from BIF to TIF.

Set by Center Removed

The “Set by Center” mode was removed. This allowed up to 8 scan areas by setting the center of each scan area at low power. This proved more challenging that expected so this feature was removed in favor of scan by area.
